NaturePainter Digital Canvas, by NaturePainter Software, is an impressive program that truly brings real "painting" to the computer. There are any number of wonderful "paint" programs, but this is really a program for painting! You get an array of 'brushes' to use as well as other artist tools. One really cool feature is the ability to "mix" your colors, just as if you were using real paint! Very slick indeed. Now I don't think I need to remind you that I'm not an artist and that I am, in fact, "graphically challenged." But after a bit of experimenting, I found I could create an entire array of various shades of green. Or gray. Or brown. You get the idea. I found it to be very impressive. And so cool -- as you move a brush you can see as it runs out of paint!

NaturePainter Digital Canvas also has another feature that just knocked me out -- tutorials. The first actually shows you how to use each of the various "tools" that come with the program. And that is a learning experience in itself. But, as the tutorials go on, they get more and more impressive. For those who remember him, it reminded me of watching Bob Ross on television. To see a mountain take shape, to see how a "little shrub" is created. And then highlighted to show where the light source is. I feel that the examples alone could help you to learn various painting techniques. I had a blast just experimenting with it. And I can only imagine what a person schooled in art can do with the program.

NaturePainter Digital Canvas, by NaturePainter Software, is a unique product for painting on your computer. Your screen becomes a canvas and the program gives you all your supplies. From my humble perspective, it's as close to real painting as you're going to find on your computer. The tutorials alone are worth the price of admission. So, if you're an artist, or even if you aren't, you need to give this program a try! One of the most intriguing programs I've looked at in a long time. Bravo!
